Today I am grateful for it being the last Friday of my freshman year.
Next week, there is no Friday. Just Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and then that's it. I am no longer going to be a freshman. Yay...:)

Today I am grateful for my dog.
Her name is Summer, and she is such a good dog. Ella es mi amor, and I love her so much. She is like a year and a half years old. She is so smart she knows when I need to be cheered up so she does this thing where she starts to whine as she nudges my arm with her nose. She also so energetic and she even poses to show us how pretty she is. She's so fluffy, she's pretty big for being so young but we would have her any other way. So, today I am grateful for my dog, Summer. Today I am grateful for one of my favorite colors, the color blue.
The color Blue makes me feel a bit a peace, sure some blue colors can seem a bit melancholy or depressive. I love it, it's the color of some of my favorite things. The sky, my favorite sweater, the gem in the middle of my ring, and even my favorite pillow. Blue, although it seems to be everyone's favorite color these days, has been my favorite since I was 5 and I realized how Beautiful the sky looked. It has been one of the very few colors that at times even brought me peace and comfort. So, today I am grateful for the color blue. Today I am grateful for classical or orchestral music. I have already talked about how much I love music but I have a different type of love for different types of music. I love how peaceful and concentrated they make me even without any lyrics because sometimes I don't want to get distracted by songs with lyrics. I love music and classical/orchestral music just makes me feel calm or at peace in way. I love listening to it when I want to go to sleep, or to write an essay or to read. Especially, when I have had a rough day. Today I am grateful for my glasses.
I really have a hard time without my glasses, I can't see without them and whenever they start to get outdated, I need to squint which causes some really bad headaches. I am always happy when I am able to see without any headaches or migraines. I love to watch movies and look at landscapes for drawing references but without my glasses it's really hard to see people as nothing more than a blob even when they're not that far from me. So, I am grateful for my glasses. I am grateful for movies.
Although movies are similar to books in the aspect of allowing your world to shift based on what you're seeing I am still pretty grateful for them. Sometimes I need a break from the real world and the problem I have and movies + books allow me to dive into a whole different world with problems, stories and people a whole lot different than mine. I love movies mostly because although I love books I can't really SEE them be put into action, they also bring my family closer every Friday. So, I am grateful for movies. Today I am grateful for flowers. I love flowers, they just add so much color and beauty into the world. I love all kinds of flowers and I especially love it when flowers have a certain meaning depending on the flower and color of the flower. My favorite type of flower would have to be the yellow rose because it is the only rose that doesn't have a romantic meaning behind it. I am grateful for flowers and the joy the give me. Today I am grateful for my grandmas (on both sides of my family).
My grandmas are my inspiration, they are what I strive to be. My grandma on my mom's side is so incredibly independent she is the definition of "I don't need no man". She came from Mexico with two daughters, not a lick of English, and nothing but the clothes on her back for a better life for them. She basically raised my mom and aunt by herself and when she was a little bit older had to also take care of her own mother. My grandma on my dad's side is so patient and loving. She was the oldest child in her family and one of her parents died early, so she dropped out of school to take care of her family. Later on, she married my grandpa, had four boys, and had to move from Mexico also no lick of English and had to work endlessly. She cares deeply for everyone first before herself and always forgives. I strive for my grandma's independence, and for my other grandma's love. So, I am grateful for my grandmas.
